1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Imposter Party ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Imposter Party is a pass-and-play word guessing party game designed for 3 or more players using a single device. The App provides word categories, AI-powered hints, multilingual support, and social features for in-person group entertainment.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

The App offers the following optional paid features:

  • Premium Monthly: A recurring monthly subscription that unlocks all categories, removes ads, and enables AI word explanations.
  • Premium Yearly: A recurring annual subscription with the same benefits as Monthly at a discounted rate. May include a free trial period.
  • Remove Ads: A one-time, non-consumable purchase that permanently removes advertisements from the App.

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region. You will be charged through your Apple ID account.

4. Subscription Auto-Renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions).
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Free Trial

If offered, the free trial provides full premium access for the specified duration. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the displayed price.

6. Refunds

All purchases are made through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund from Apple.

7. Advertisements

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Ads may include interstitial and rewarded video formats. Premium subscribers and users who purchase "Remove Ads" will not see advertisements.

8. AI-Generated Content

The App uses AI technology (powered by Anthropic Claude) to generate hints and word explanations. AI-generated content is provided for entertainment purposes only and may not always be accurate. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.

9. User Conduct

Player names and game interactions occur locally on your device between players who are physically present. You are responsible for ensuring that player names entered into the App are appropriate and do not violate any applicable laws.

10. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, word lists, categories, and software, is the property of Imposter Party and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Imposter Party shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Apple-Specific Terms

The following terms apply to users who download the App from Apple's App Store:

  • Acknowledgement: These Terms are between you and Imposter Party only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Scope of License: The license granted to you for the App is a limited, non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • Maintenance and Support: Imposter Party is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
  • Warranty: Imposter Party is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Product Claims: Imposter Party, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including but not limited to: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
  • Intellectual Property: In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Imposter Party, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
  • Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
  • EULA: This agreement incorporates Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) by reference.
